I have had the benefit of reading Stephan Kesting's new work, "A Roadmap for Brazilian Jiu-jitsu", as well as viewing the high-definition DVD and multimedia files associated with this package. As a practitioner and instructor of Classical Ju-jutsu and Bu-jutsu, I was impressed with Stephan's analytical and humble approach to teaching this complex topic.
Stephan has done an admirable job of taking away the mystery and confusion associated with assimilation of core grappling principles. The course that he has created is an easy-to-understand yet thorough analysis of the fundamentals of Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.
As the title suggests, this work provides the reader/viewer with a conceptual matrix from which to consider individual techniques and prioritize appropriate responses in the "heat of battle". I was particularly impressed by how Stephan approached the subject with a critical mind-set that addresses tactical issues not only from the perspective of sport jiu-jitsu, but also Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) and street self-defence.
This course is a must-read, must-watch not only for individuals commencing their study of close-quarter melee systems but also serious fans of MMA and those who may have been schooled in other approaches to grappling.

I could say a lot of great things about the A Roadmap to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu package that Stephan Kesting has put together, but I'll avoid the obvious of what makes this package great. What I believe makes this package worth acquiring is the effect that it has on your way of thinking regarding your ground game.
After a single time of going through the material I had so many answers to previous questions running through my head that I had to hit the mats! Even if you have been training for a long period of time I can guarantee you that there will be something in this package, whether it be entirely new to you or not, that will cause a spark in your mind that will lead you to eventually evolve in your ground game. This I believe is a greater lesson than any technique that you can learn. Teach a man to fish...

Stephan, I have always found your materials to be very informative and I like your philosophy of when learning something to hit it from all possible angles. I received your Roadmap package last week.
Thus far I've only had the opportunity to view the book (an excellent framework resource), the e-book (a superior complilation of helpful articles) and I've been watching videos on The Grappler's Guide. I've been involved with martial arts for almost 30 years (let's say I started young !!!) and IMO I think this resource package should be mandatory for any instructor wishing to implement a grappling program to their curriculum
